There were several mornings where we drenched the girls in sunscreen, loaded them into the bike trailer, and made our way down to Mission Bay by way of bicycle. Our purpose was to drain as much energy out of the girls before nap time, and there was the perfect playground there to accomplish just that. The weather was always perfect; sunny with a cool breeze, and you could watch the sailboats gliding along the water.
This was how we ended our vacation. It is always hard to say goodbye to dearest San Diego, and it wasn't any easier this year. It was the end of living just off the beach and hearing the ocean while still snuggled in bed. An end to partly sunny skies and cool breezes. The end to lazy days on the beach and little sand-covered noses.

fun! we went to SD for one day about a month ago just to lay out and eat good food...maybe we'll get to stay longer someday! :)
