This time, last year...

It's hard to believe it's been a whole year since I was 8 months pregnant, nesting like crazy and about ready to POP! I don't know how I made it through last summer carrying around an extra 50lbs and being happy as a clam doing it. I was still working at the ortho office a couple hours a day as you see the scrubs I'm wearing in the picture. I do miss it sometimes, not so much the cankles or the constant need to pee, just the sweet experience of carrying two sweet babies:)

The Test

Kevin and I decided that we really wanted to find out whether our girls are fraternal or identical so we ordered the test. Luckily I was able to find one that cost $99 instead of $160 so that made me feel better. It came in the mail a couple days ago, we filled it out, and should get the results in the next week or so. We were hoping to have the results for their birthday party so we could do the big reveal that night. We're really excited to find out! So what's your guess? Vote via the poll to the right:)

Blast from the past

As I was going through my Corolla today, clearing out all my personal junk from all the nooks and crannies, (sold it today w00-hoo!) I came upon this priceless item. None other than a Wilson Phillips cassette tape. I have no idea how I aquired this or why it was in my Corolla but I couldn't help but want to listen to those awesome 80's love songs one more time. If only I had a cassette player.......

Minivan Momma!

We've been in TIGHT quarters in my little Corolla since the girls were born, so upgrading to something more family friendly was inevitable. After searching for several months we FINALLY found a vehicle that would suit our needs. Yesterday we purchased a Toyota Sienna and I am an official minivan momma! I never pictured myself driving a minivan, but I'm loving it so far. There is so much ROOM and it gets decent gas mileage considering.
Here's my new baby:)

4 Year Anniversary

Yesterday was our 4 year wedding anniversary. We were sealed in the Mesa Temple on a hot, humid August afternoon and it was truly one of the happiest days of my life. We went on our Honeymoon to Las Vegas and here we are eating dinner at Outback Steakhouse as newlyweds.

Here we are 4 years later enjoying yet another Outback meal:)
We were STUFFED by the time we finished our entrees. Kevin's face says it all. We passed on dessert until our server offered us a free ice cream sundae for our anniversary. We immediately accepted and made room for even more deliciousness.My MIL babysat the girls for us and took them overnight so we could have some time to ourselves. We saw a movie, did some shopping,went to breakfast this morning and then had lunch. We ate at Steve's Krazy Sub which ironically was the same place Kevin took me to for our first lunch together, back when it was Blimpies and we were both going to school at MCC. My anniversary gift is this necklace that I absolutely LOVE. Here's their website.

I had a wonderful anniversary and enjoyed spending time with my hubby. It was fun revisiting a lot of sweet memories and also realizing how many great things have happened in the last 4 years.

Baby Steps!

Brooke and Brenna LOVE pushing each other on the little toy car and speeding across the carpet with the walker. This week Brooke started taking little baby steps on her own! It's so fun to watch them try to walk and see how excited they get. Kevin and I made a bet a couple weeks ago: He thinks BOTH of our girls will be walking BEFORE their 1st birthday (in 5 wks), I thought it would be a little AFTER they turn 1. I must say I'm getting a little NERVOUS:}

The Wager: If Kevin wins he gets dinner at Rubios (had to talk him down from Red Lobster) and a manicure from mwah (yes, he loves to be pampered, shhh.....don't tell him I told you). If I win I get dinner at Ned's Krazy Subs and a 30min. (better be good) back massage.
