Eats: He is loving beans, cheese, animal crackers, goldfish, puffs, pizza crust, pears, bananas, strawberries and peaches. Recently he hasn't been a fan of me spoon feeding him as much, as he would prefer to feed himself. Still nursing, and not a fan of the bottle. I have to nurse him in a dark quiet room or else he will get too distracted. Brenna and Brooke weaned around this age, and this was one of the reasons why. They would stop nursing at the drop of a hat, and it drove me nuts sometimes. We're pushing forward though, and I'm hoping to get to at least a year with him.
Says: "Ma-ma," "Da-da," and "Ba-ba" are the most common "words" to come out of his mouth. When he is tired he sucks on his binkie while chanting "goy, goy, goy, goy," over and over until he falls asleep. I'm starting to introduce some baby sign language.
Does: Dallin is a master roller, and leaner/rocker. He is VERY close to crawling, he just needs to figure out his footing. I'm enjoying the fact that he can't go very far at the moment, but at the same time I know he will be happier once he's mobile. Dallin loves pulling himself up on the side of his crib and prefers to be at eye level with the rest of the family. He enjoys shaking his head back and forth, and rocking back and forth while in a standing position. Dallin is NOT a lap baby and is constantly on the move. He will smile at some people and not at others. His latest habit is doing what I call the "farley face." It's where he pulls his shoulders up around his face, pushing all his neck and chin meat into one delicious ham of a face.

Stats: He's 19 pounds 4 ounces, and a few pounds shy of a convertible car seat. Soon I'll have not two, but three going across the front bench of our minivan:) Dallin's head is always at the top of the percentiles, and it sometimes causes trouble when trying to put his onesies and shirts on.
Sleeps: Dallin takes two 1.5 hour naps a day and sleeps from 7pm to around 7am, with one feeding around 2-4am. He was sleeping through that feeding until he got sick, so maybe that will change again now that he's better. Dallin still wants to be swaddled to go to bed, and needs to be in a dark quiet room to be able to sleep. He's a little more high maintenance when it comes to sleep, so I don't mess around with his nap/bedtime. We schedule our day around his nap times to keep everyone happy:)
Likes: He loves to be held and played with. Dallin is all about being in on the action at the moment. He's a mommas boy for sure, but loves spending time with his Dad and sisters. He is infatuated with our cat Toby and will pull his whiskers if he gets close enough. Dallin is in the "everything goes in my mouth" stage and loves anything that will fit in his mouth. Recently, he started really enjoying his baths, and as always he loves his binky.
*On a side note- On the 12th I weighed in at my pre-pregnancy weight with Dallin. Wa-hoo for that! 9 months to put it on, and 9 months to take it off. Seems fair enough, and just another reason to celebrate 9 months:)
