I was reading in this month's Ensign and there was an article called "Living a Balanced Life" by Elder Orton. The last couple months I have been struggling with this in my own life, trying to figure out how to balance being a mom/wife, keeping the house clean, fulfilling my church calling, and just taking time for myself every now and then. Is this really possible? When I saw this article, I felt like it was an answer to my prayers. I just wanted to share a part of it that made a lot of sense to me.
" As I've flown, I've noted as we commence to take off from the airport, a flight attendant will arise and among other things will say, "Now, if we lose air pressure in the cabin, an oxygen mask will descend from overhead. If you're caring for young children or someone with a disability, make sure you put on your own oxygen mask before you try to help others." Why would the flight attendant say that? Obviously, if you're unconscious, you can't help anyone else. So it is with our service to humankind and our service in the Church and in our professions. If we don't strengthen ourselves, we will never be in a position to strengthen others."
How easy is it to put yourself as the last priority on the list? Very easy, I would say. I think it's so true that in order to take care of others we have to first take care of ourselves. So do yourself a favor and do something nice for you:)

Yay I'm so glad you started blogging! The girls are so adorable in the bunny ears! I saw them at target too, but I figured it wouldn't go over to well with Jeremy! Haha maybe I'll get some anyway!

Welcome to blogging! Thanks for the article clip. You are not alone in finding out who you are and how to balance everything. I'm still learning how to be a mom, it doesn't end. Being a new mom, especially to twins is a hard balancing act. I have two sis in laws that had twins their first time around and they both say that they realized that they had to take care of themselves to care for others. To everything there is a season and right now is your season to be a mom.
Oh my goodness! Those girls giggling is the best thing ever! I'm so glad you're a blogger now. May I link you to me?
Missy!! Your girls are so gorgeous! How in the world do you take care of two babies at once? I know my sister is freaking about the twins. I think she is excited now but still in shock! I love it when I find blogs of people I know!!!
