Pic-a-nicking

With the recent rain came some amazingly cool weather here in Arizona. Yesterday was perfect for a picnic, and since we live really close to a park and some soccer fields, we took advantage of the option to eat outdoors. Once the girl's sandwiches were eaten down to the crust, they were off in the fields chasing each other. Brooke made her first attempt of rolling down one of the hills, and ended up rolling sideways across the hill somehow. Both girls had heads full of grass within minutes. Brooke helped keep me on edge by continuously running towards a man on a commercial lawn mower. She is always up for a challenge, and seems to be attracted to dangerous situations for some reason. I could tell that Dallin was wishing that his little legs could move faster so he could join in on the action. His little push toy was not built for such grassy terrain, but we made it work. Dallin did enjoy bear crawling up and down the hills and sampling some of the near bye foliage. I am grateful that he is slow enough to photograph, because it's not so easy to catch the girls in action. Speaking of picture taking, it's sad when you can't even manage to open your eyes for a picture you are taking of yourself! At least now I know what  Kevin gets to look at every night when he comes to bed, minus the smile hopefully. He is one lucky man:)

Ah, i love picnics! You've reminded me that I need to go more often! I love his picture with the push toy! Such a cute little baby stance. (We have that toy too by the way! It's great!)
