29

Yesterday was Kevin's 29th birthday:)

The day started off with a pancake breakfast in bed per his request. Then he got his first birthday gift which was a trip to Gentleman Joe's Barber Shop. He got a hair cut and shave with the straight blade, hot towels, and all that jazz. He had never been to a barber shop before so this was a new experience for him. After an hour and forty five minutes of meticulous pampering, his face was as smooth as Dallin's bottom. Magnifique!

When he got home, he got another present which was a towering stack of his favorite cookies or "Kevin Cookies" as we call them. The Walmarts by our new house don't have them and so it's become a delicacy for him. His third and final gift is some pricey web design software that is on it's way in the mail. Fancy shmancy stuff.Next, we were off to our favorite free birthday lunch at Joe's BBQ. This was our first family picture since Dallin was born, and I think it's a keeper. After lunch, we dropped the girls off at Grammy's house and went to a movie. We saw "The Social Network" aka the facebook movie. It was really interesting to learn about how facebook came to be, although I found the events surrounding it to be semi-depressing.
Maybe I'm just weird. For dinner, Kevin opted for seafood and we dined at King's Fish House at Tempe Marketplace. They gave us a free slice of Key Lime Pie with a candle in it and we all sang Happy Birthday to Kevin.
Once we were home, I made him his favorite dessert: angel food cake with strawberries and strawberry cool whip. It was a wonderful day:)

happy birthday lovey!
